Steve, a Greenway Centre regular and volunteer, was nominated for and won an award for Volunteer of the Year at the Horfield & Lockleaze Community Awards. Steve attends many groups at the Greenway Centre and at The Hub in Lockleaze, and is always ready to help out. Steve is always a winner in our eyes.
One of Steve’s nominees said: “ Steve is a wonderful positive gentleman who we have the pleasure of knowing. It is a joy to have him around and for us to support him in any way we can. He is a breath of fresh air, and we thoroughly enjoy his input at the Greenway Centre”.
Steve also volunteers at the Hub in Lockleaze and, among other things, runs a Short Mat Bowls session there and he would love you to come along. The session is every Monday, 1-3pm, at The Hub, Fedden Buildings, Gainsborough Square, Lockleaze, Bristol BS7 9FB, tel: 0117 914 1129.
