Call Out For Mead Delivery Volunteers!

The Mead is our long-standing community magazine. Printed bi-monthly, it spreads the word about stories, news, views, and events which are happening in Southmead. Some of us might see these things online or on social media, but it’s important to keep residents who might not catch stories on the website up to date too. Plus, there’s nothing like giving ourselves time to sit down with a cuppa and enjoy the latest edition on paper!

After gathering everyone’s stories and photographs and putting together each edition, it’s a real joy to see Southmead’s newest stories arrive in print, ready to be shared with our community. And this is where we need your help. With 2000 copies printed each time, it’s quite a few boxes! At the moment it’s a very small team and we want The Mead to get to its community venues and sheltered accommodation on time. We also deliver to specific streets – we are keen to hear if you think there’s a street which would like to get The Mead delivered.

Would you like to pound Southmead’s pavements with a purpose? Do you like the idea of keeping residents connected with Southmead’s latest news? We’d love to hear from you!
