Resident Shirley Neville
Wendy Jefferies who lives at The Woodnook held a coffee morning on Monday 4th September to raise funds for the Bristol Oncology Centre. Wendy has been receiving vital treatment at the oncology centre for the past 18 months after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia.
The coffee morning raised a staggering £217.70. All her friends say what an inspiration Wendy is. Her positive attitude and great sense of humour during her treatment has been so humbling. Last year, whilst receiving chemotherapy, Wendy lost her hair and decided to knit a bobble hat ready for the cold weather. She enjoyed making them so much, that she took to her loom and made them for friends, charging £3 once again raising £230 for the Oncolgy centre.
Well done, Wendy, you’re a Southmead Superstar!
