Volunteer For Read Easy Bristol

Read Easy volunteer groups provide one-to-one reading coaching for adults.  Nearly 7% of adults in England have never learnt to read at school. Could you help them learn?

Read Easy Bristol are looking for volunteers in the north of the City to help adults learn to read. Anyone who can read fluently can apply to be a reading coach – you will get all the training and support you need.

We are looking for Volunteer Coaches who can listen patiently and are confident working alone (seeking support where necessary). We also encourage applicants from all backgrounds and pride ourselves on being an inclusive organisation.

You will be asked to meet your reader twice a week for just 30 minutes each time, at a time and location that is mutually convenient.

Why get involved?

One of our current Volunteer Coaches explains how, “Joining Read Easy allowed me to work one-on-one with someone whose life I can change for the better by giving just a little time.”
