New ward boundaries came into effect on April 1st. Southmead now loses the Charlton Mead area, which becomes part of Henbury & Brentry Ward; but it will gain the Lakewood Road area which was formerly in Westbury-on-Trym. A big welcome to our new residents. Southmead will still work closely with Charlton Mead people through the Community Plan, and through the Henbury, Brentry and Southmead Neighbourhood Partnership. 2016 elections on 5 may will be based on the new Ward boundary.
