The new police station in Southmead is OPEN!
After the former site in Southmead Road was sold in 2016, the police have been based in New Bridewell and latterly at the Fire Station in Southmead Road. However, a brand new station opened on the 8th July to service Southmead and the surrounding area.
The new station is located just inside the Southmead Road entrance to Southmead Hospital, and will be home to the neighbourhood officers and PCSO team and also has a public enquiries office open daily from 10am-6pm.
The new station is the result of great campaign work from the community that enabled me and Brenda Massey to work closely with the PCC Sue Mountstevens and other senior police officers to make the case for a permanent base near the Southmead estate.
The new station was opened by Sue Mountstevens and Chief Constable Andy Marsh.
Please go along and meet the team!
