Maintaining the Memorial Garden: Meeting on Monday 8th April

The Southmead Memorial Garden was started in 2003 by Youth Worker Billy Cockram, with the help of Southmead Youth Club.  It was created in tribute to three young men who sadly lost their lives in a short space of time – Wayne Goldsmith, Alan Stevens, and Lee Webb – as a place to remember them, and as a reflective space for residents to spend time in.

Residents have noticed that the garden now needs care and maintenance so we are arranging a space to meet and talk more about how we can do this. If you would like to meet other residents to think about how we can maintain the garden then come along.

We’ll be meeting at the Greenway Centre on Monday 8th April, 6-7pm.  Alternatively, if you can’t come but would like to be involved, you can contact me, email: evepayne@southmead.org, tel: 07930 031 807
