Home-Start Bristol, based at the Greenway Centre, is recruiting local volunteers to support families in the Southmead area. Volunteers, who are parents, some are also grandparents, are matched with a family with at least 1 child under 5. They visit them weekly for 2-3 hours to offer support – 1 parent to another.
Volunteers attend a ‘Preparation Course’ before they are matched with a family – our next course starts 20 September just down the road at Lawrence Weston Farm 10-2pm for 9 Thursdays. There is also an opportunity to gain a level 2 qualification.
