Bristol care home invites the local community for Christmas Day

A care home in Bristol is inviting local people who might otherwise be alone for the holidays to spend the day with residents and team members.

Care UK’s Trymview Hall, on Southmead Road, is welcoming those in the community who would like to spend Christmas day with neighbours to enjoy a traditional roast dinner, festive games and entertainment.

The activities and lunch, complete with all the trimmings, will take place on Christmas Day between 12pm and 2pm, and local people can book a place by calling 0333 321 8351.

Pamela Arnsmeyer, home manager at Trymview Hall, said: “We understand that Christmas can sometimes be a difficult time for older people living alone. Supporting the community is important to the team and residents here at Trymview Hall, and we’re keen to provide a welcoming environment for those looking to spend time with neighbours and enjoy some festive treats this Christmas.

“Preparations are already under way for the big day, and we are looking forward to welcoming local people to enjoy the festivities with us!”

The new care home, which will provide residential, dementia and nursing care, features 66 ensuite bedrooms, and has been designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence. The care home will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities and will include its own cinema, hairdressing salon and café.

With limited places available, booking is essential. Please call customer relations manager, Evonne Burch on 0333 321 8351 or email on evonne.burch@careuk.com
