Have you visited our Thursday Greenway Support & Advice Hub? It’s where our partner organisations join us to offer support services to Southmead residents. At the hub you will find it easy to access Barclays Local (banking point), Citizens Advice, NHS Employment support, and the Bristol Somali Resource Centre. Our own new service Greenway Learning & Wellbeing will be at the hub from this Thursday 7th, so please come along and meet the team. The North Bristol Foodbank is also at the same time.
The hub is growing, and it is great to see so many residents finding the support they need. More organisations want to join to offer help, and this has led us to create an even bigger support event four times each year. Each seasonal event will include a wider spread of services and opportunities, along with activities and refreshments
We are pleased to announce we will be hosting our first bigger advice and support hub, Winter Connect, on Thursday 12th December from 12 – 5 PM. This will take place in our Main Hall. Expect anything from housing advice, domestic abuse support, family support, financial planning, community activities and much more besides. Our friendly team from Southmead Development Trust will be on hand to talk through our programme of activities and services all designed to support wellbeing.
So please pop along and join us, get yourself a cup of tea and chat to the professionals and organisations offering support.
