River Dipping at the Southmead Festival

We have organised two guided walks for Saturday, from the Southmead Festival, through beautiful Badock’s Wood, down to the River Trym, to learn how important the river environment is for wildlife.

Peter Coleman-Smith, from Trout in the Trym, will show us how he takes river water samples and will explain what lives in the water.  We’ll find out how the little things in the river are important for the bigger things, and what the water quality is like and what affects it.  Also, what we can all do to help.

Meet us by the River Dipping signpost at the Southmead Festival by 11.30 or 12.30, to join either walk.

All welcome but under 16s must be accompanied by adults.

Friends of Badock’s Wood are part of the Trout in the Trym Network.
