Pre-Covid, many adults in our community were going into their local school to read one-to-one with children. This is great for children as it builds self-esteem and confidence and is one of the most vital learning skills for life. It was also great for those of us in the wider community to get involved with our local schools and to support families with the development of their children.
Well, now our schools want us back! All volunteers would need to be DBS checked, and would be working in a safeguarded environment. Speak to your local school for more details, contacts below.
