Jacqui Searle (a member of St Stephen’s Church and a Woodnook resident) asked Wendy if we could place a box at the BS10 Bingo session for donations for the North Bristol Food Bank, as supplies were running low! Wendy thought it a great idea and announced we were collecting over the following fortnight. The response was overwhelming and we managed to fill 4 boxes with a selection of food, toilet rolls, shower gels and deodorant. Our aim is to run another collection of donations in November in time for Christmas! Wendy said “Southmead can receive some really bad press at times but the people are so generous towards others and always give what they can”. THANKYOU and well done to everyone who donated.
