I recently met Dahlia from Bristol Women’s Voice who was very interested to hear about our monthly MPower (all things Menopause) group. Dahlia has offered to find some interesting guests and speakers to join us.
I’m delighted to say the first of these special guests is Agnieszka who teaches Bellyfit. It sounds fantastic and is ‘a perfect fusion of belly dance inspired moves, functional fitness and mindfulness for women of all ages and stages’.
Agnieszka says:
-
No previous experience in yoga or dance required
-
I recommend that you wear trainers for the first half of the class. We will be travelling and pivoting so it’s nice to give the feet and ankles that extra bit of support. The second half is done barefoot.
-
Bring water. Our goal is to make you sweat and burn stress! Keep your energy high by staying hydrated during class and take as many water breaks as you need to. I suggest that you have a protein rich snack ready for after the class when your body is still burning energy.
-
Most of all bring an open mind and an open heart.
We will be meeting at 6pm for our usual friendly MPower group to have a cup of tea and chat. Agnieszka will join us to tell us a bit about what she does. Then at 7:15pm any of us who want to can join in the free Bellyfit session. If you don’t want to join in but want to watch that’s great, or if you want to stay chatting in the MPower room that’s find too.
If you’re interested in just Bellyfit and not the MPower session do come along for 7:15pm and ask for directions to the upstairs Fitness Studio – all welcome.
