Home-Start Bristol is a local charity supporting families with children under 5 years across Bristol and South Glos, we’re based right here in Southmead at the Greenway Business Centre.
During lockdown our staff and volunteers have all been working from home (as home visiting has been suspended due to Covid restrictions) but we’re busy keeping in touch with families as well as providing activity packs for children, referrals to local foodbanks and other services where necessary. We’ve even managed to organise our own delivery of food and vegetable plants to local families in support – this was made possible due to emergency Covid-19 funding from ‘John Lewis’ – we hope to be able to do this again.
We’re always looking for more volunteers to join us – our next volunteer training course will start on 23rd September and will be run weekly for 1.5hrs every Wednesday for 7 weeks – this will be done online, via Zoom (due to restrictions).
