Tomorrow it’s just two weeks to the Festival of the season in Southmead. This year we’ve got a Green theme – whatever green means to you . . . a colour, an idea, a way of life, a project, growing your own, or saving the planet! There’ll be a prize for the best theme outfit so how about decorating your hat?
The Festival is free entry and there’s lots on to entertain us and to do. As well as headliner hits Hooper, we’ve got the Greenway Sing-a-Longers (guaranteed to bring out your voice) and performances by DWild, Ayahuasca Dance, and The Ranch Youth.
There are lots of free activities for families including fun with the SS Great Britain team, Bristol Rovers, Celebrating Sanctuary with the Bristol Refugee Festival team, guided walks in Badock’s Wood to water dip with the Trout in the Trym group, and Bike Repair Workshop with our local PCs.
The Greenway Market will be in full swing in the Main Hall with crafts and pre-loved treasures.
In Conversation Corner there’ll be chats about Southmead and prizes to be won.
Food includes Caribbean with R&B Soulfood, hot and cold favourites from Cafe Des Amis, and the popular BBQ and Bar with Southmead Rugby Club.
It’s going to be a hot one! Bring your rug and chairs, pop up your sun-brolly or gazebo, keep your water bottles refilled and enjoy (*free water stations for refills).
