We are delighted that so many organisations have already confirmed they are joining our Winter Connect event on Thursday 12th December, to bring services together under one roof to offer vital advice and support to residents.
Everyone is invited to come along and find out about different ways to find help as we step into deep Winter, next year, and the future.
There will be a free cuppa and snacks on offer as organisations from across the City meet with residents to talk through their individual needs and options. The list of services attending is growing, but already confirmed are:
- Greenway Learning & Wellbeing offering holistic health, wellbeing, and employment support
- Bristol Family Hubs to support parents and carers
- Bristol Energy Network to help us understand using energy efficiently
- One Front Door with employment support
- Citizens Advice Bristol offering cost of living guidance
- NHS Employment team to help residents find work with the NHS
- North Bristol and South Glos Foodbank on how to get help in a crises
- Bath Spa University to link us to their short courses programme
- Southmead’s Transforming Energy Together and Climate Action project working with residents to understand what is wanted and needed for our community’s future.
If you are a resident there is no need to book, please just come and join us, and do bring your children – there will be activities to take part in. While the issues we face, and talking about them, can make us feel bleak, we hope that meeting the right professionals, with a cuppa, in a shared and safe space at Greenway, will help residents to find what is needed to keep going in tough times. Everyone is welcome.
If you are an organisation and would like to arrange to offer your services, please contact Mark, email: marklemon@southmead.org, or call 0117 950 3335.
