A new care home in Southmead is asking the Bristol community to nominate ‘local heroes’ for the chance to win a £500 cash prize.
Care UK’s Trymview Hall, on Southmead Road, is searching for local people or organisations who go above and beyond for their community, friends or family, and have a positive impact on the local area.
The winner of the ‘local heroes’ competition will receive £500 and be invited to the opening of the suburb’s newest care home at its grand launch event in January 2020. There will also be two runners-up, who will win £200 for second place and £100 for third.
Pamela Arnsmeyer, home manager at Trymview Hall, said: “We all know that one person who organises everything, is always there for others and never shies away from offering a helping hand – so here at Trymview Hall, we want to say thank you.
“Whether they’re a volunteer at a local charity, a community group that really makes a difference to the area, or simply someone who goes that extra mile for others – share your story with us so we can reward them with the treat they deserve.”
To nominate your ‘local hero’, visit http://www.careuk.com/care-homes/trymview-hall/local-heroes before Friday 13th December and explain in 100-400 words why they deserve to be rewarded.
The marketing suite at Trymview Hall is now open, and anyone that wants to find out more about what life will be like at the care home is invited to visit.
Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, the new 66-bedroom care home, which opens in November, will provide full-time nursing and residential care, short-term respite care and specialist dementia care.
Trymview Hall will feature its own coffee shop, cinema room and hair and beauty salon. And has been configured into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge/dining room, to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities.
