Bristol’s newest care home is inviting the local community to attend its grand launch event, where special VIP guests will officially open the new home.
On Tuesday 14th January, from 2pm-4pm, local people are invited to visit Trymview Hall, on Southmead Road, to join in the celebrations, with team members, and residents – and special guests, players from the Bristol Bears and their mascot, Brizzley Bear.
On arrival, guests will be greeted with a glass of bubbly, and music from the Cover Girlz who will be singing a medley of vintage hits. There will also be a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by cupcake decorating sessions and games on a ‘magic table’ – which allows young and older people to play interactive games on the table’s surface.
Guests can also have a caricature drawn by The Arty One; and participate in an Active Ageing session led by the Bristol Bears, which encourages local people to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle, particularly in later life.
Visitors will also have the chance to meet the team at Trymview Hall and take a tour of the care home, where they will be able to see its fantastic facilities, such as its own cinema and café.
Pamela Arnsmeyer, home manager of Trymview Hall, said: “Since we opened the doors to Trymview Hall, we have had such a warm and positive response from those living locally, and we already feel like part of the community. We would therefore like to invite the people of Bristol to be part of our official opening celebrations.
“We have planned a family-friendly event to appeal to all generations, and we are delighted to have so many special guests coming along on the day to help us mark this important milestone.”
The new care home, which will provide residential, dementia and nursing care, features 66 ensuite bedrooms, and has been designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence. The care home will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities and will include its own cinema, hairdressing salon and café.
