On Thursday 4th October Southmead Hospital will be holding a traditional fruit-pressing event in partnership with the National Trust. Between 11am-2pm we will be turning the pears grown on site along with apples contributed by staff, patients and the public into delicious, healthy juice. Come along to the Learning and Research building and see how the pressing works, taste the juice and learn about community food production and the new allotment we are planning to build! If you would like to donate home-grown fruit (whether apples or pears) or have any questions, contact SustainableDevelopment@nbt.nhs.uk or call 01174148547.
