Larger than life at ten feet tall, her vibrant Caribbean colours capture the eye and the imagination! I am so excited that Afro-Leana will be attending our family friendly DIASPORA! Festival event at the Ranch this Saturday. Some of you may have met her at St Pauls Carnival or another festival or walkabout, but it’s the first time Afro-Leana has been to Southmead!
Carol Sherman, Afro-Leana’s niece and companion, will be helping Afro-Leana to meet and greet everyone, and is also really looking forward to coming to our North Bristol event. Carol said, “Afro-Leana hasn’t been to Southmead before, but she has heard good things about it. She is all the way from Jamaica and she’s so excited to meet the English Children”.
There will also be refreshments, live music with Artuba, and a creative Flag making session with Vicky to get your creative craft juices flowing. Event details HERE
